Objective
The student knows the most important advanced manufacturing methods, the equipment used in them and the materials used in the methods. The student can design products taking advanced manufacturing techniques into account. The student understands the possibilities of advanced manufacturing techniques as a manufacturing method and knows the operating principles of the most common advanced manufacturing methods. The student knows the basics of customizing product features by using advanced materials.

-Most common advanced manufacturing technologies: 3D printing, metal injection molding technology
-Materials: metal powders, polymers, MIM materials
-Material properties and post-treatments
-Customization of product properties: friction, wear, lubrication, antibacterial
-Data transfer for manufacturing and measurement
