Objective

The student understands the key factors and areas related to well-being at work and understands what managing well-being at work is. The student understands the importance of occupational well-being management in the successful operation of an organization.

Content

The main content of the course: well-being at work, management of well-being at work, values ​​and ethical issues in the work community, occupational health and safety, occupational health and safety, key laws related to well-being at work. In addition, the importance of culture and art in work communities.

Location and time

Time and place-free studying in Karelia University of Applied Sciences' Moodle learning environment.

Materials

Marja-Liisa Manka and Marjut Manka: Well-being at work. The older book can be downloaded from Moodle, the newer one is also suitable as material.

Teaching methods

The student understands the key factors and sub-areas related to well-being at work and understands what managing well-being at work is. In addition, the student realizes the importance of managing well-being at work in the effective operation of the organization.

The course has several interviews recorded by visitors and a lecture recording made by the teacher in charge. In addition, there is plenty of other material. The online pedagogy of the study course enables the student to study independently at a time and place within the given time frame.

Student workload

The student's workload is approximately 108 hours.
