Objective
The course is intended for students whose mother tongue is not Finnish. The language level of the course is B1.
You will be able to speak and write in a variety of situations at work, e.g. customer service, making appointments, meetings and negotiations, and chatting with colleagues. You can tell about your work and profession and understand texts and speech about work. You understand work-related instructions and can write the most important work-related texts.
Content
- Chatting with colleagues, e.g. during a coffee break
- Understanding and writing work-related texts and instructions
- Expanding your professional vocabulary
- Speaking in customer service situations (e.g. giving advice, presenting a product)
- Talking on the phone and by e-mail
- Discussions in a meeting
- Telling about your professional competence.

The course is an online course. You will work independently in Moodle. You will get feedback and a grade at the end of the course.
