Content

This study unit is about current trends and changes in the environment affecting forestry. Climate warming induced increased risk of natural hazards and challenges. Adapting forests and forest operations to climate change, including tree species selection, increasing forest resilience and non-active management. Solving real life use cases in living lab co-operation.

Location and time

The course will be implemented between September - December

Materials

The teacher gives instructions on the study materials at the beginning of the course. Most of the materials will be appointed in Moodle platform.

The course is part of the INVEST specialisation studies (Forestry Adaptation to a Changing Environment - FACE).

This course is 6 ECTS which corresponds to 150 hours work load for a student.
The studies include lectures, visits and exercises + independent work
