Objective

A Introduction to Social Politics (3 crs.)The student gets a picture of the historical development of social welfare work and is able to locate the sociopedagogical work in the field of social welfare work. The student is familiar with the essential terminology of social pedagogy (everyday, subjectivism etc.) and processes (subjectizing, emancipation and empowerment)B: Introduction to Early Childhood Education (3 crs.)The student learns to perceive early childhood education as a broad social phenomenon. He/she is familiar with the national aims of early childhood education and knows which documents regualte it. The student recognises social, economic and pedagogical challenges related to early childhood education and lets other people participate in the actual discussions about early childhood education.C: Sign Language (1 cr.)The student is able to use sign language and is engouraged to communicate with people using sign language.

History of social welfare work, central terminology and processes of modern social pedagogy: subjectivity, subjectivizing, emancipation, empowerment, everyday life.Aims of early childhood education, early childhood education as part of the political system, services in early childhood education.
