Objective

Student
- Appreciates the relationship between enhancing quality of life and the process of an Active Ageing Approach
- Understands the concept, foundation, determinants, challenges and political agenda of an Active Ageing Approach
- Is able to plan, implement and promote health, well-being & functional ability among older people using an active ageing approach

Content

- Concepts of active ageing and relationships between welfare and health promotion & rehabilitation
- Promoting active ageing in employments, societies and at national level
- Determinants, challenges and political agenda of an Active Ageing approach
- Multi-professionalism and new paradigms in the Active Ageing approach

Teaching methods

This module is offered in English language only, including the assessment tasks. There will be
four on -line tutorials, students independent work in groups and individually, tasks and final assignment.
Tutorials are held via the on-line Collaborate site.
The detailed schedule and tasks will be published on the Moodle before the module start.

Student workload

5 ECTS credits: av.135 SEHrs; 5x45min on-line contact, independent and group work, task preparation and assignement.

Written individual or small group assignment, graded 0-5, to be submitted at the end of the module.
