Objective

You understand the concept of Evidence-based practice and its importance in social and health care.
You understand the role of a nurse in EBP and commits to that.
You understand the importance of nursing quidelines and standardized practices in client care and is able to implement them.
You are able to actively utilize nursing research knowledge in decision making.
You are able to solve problems in professional contexts in multiprofessional teams.
You are able to assess own action critically
You are able to recognize and critically evaluate own actions and quidelines.
You are able to evaluate, follow-up and document the results of standardized practices.

- Nursing as a Science
- Nursing research in the knowledge base of nursing and education
- The main concepts of nursing research
- Problem solving process
- The concept of evidence-based practise (including producing, distributing, implementation and evaluation of evidence) and goals
- The roles and responsibilities of different parties in evidence-baased practise and its development
- Evidence-based practise and decision making (integrating evidence with patients' values and preferences and with situational and own experiental knowledge)
