Objective
The student familiarizes him/herself with the basic aspects of consumer behaviour including values, needs and motivation.He/She is able to apply the theoretical knowledge into the context of a Russian consumer.
Content
The course is intended to provide the students with a theoretical introduction to the field of consumer behavior. Main issues of the course are connected to:-Consumer behavior- Values and culture- Russian consumer and Russian tourist

Study module will be implemented in Moodlerooms learning environment.
Materials
Course materials will be provided in the Moodlerooms learning environment. Other sources can be used if mentioned separately in reports.
Teaching methods
The course covers the basic theoretical issues of consumer behaviour in general and special features related to Russian consumer. It provides insights to students on understanding the main factors that affect consumer behaviour in tourism, values and culture, travel motivation and Russian consumer context. Students are expected to gain theoretical knowledge through course content and attain practical training via relevant exercises.
Course materials are in the Moodlerooms. Other sources can be used if mentioned separately in reports. All course assignment are xpected to be done according to the instructions. In the final course assignment, the students prepare small research on Russian consumer behaviour using the theoretical knowledge on consumer behaviour in tourism received during the course. The research can be done individually or with a team mate.
This course aims to provide perspectives on consumer behaviour in tourism as well as it enhances understanding of the Russian consumers. The main objectives are:
- to increase understanding of consumer behaviour in general and particularly in the Russian tourism context
- to get to know basic concepts related to consumer behaviour
- to be able to discuss and apply these concepts

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment criteria of section assignments
Student lists, describes and compares different aspects of the topic according to the source materials. Student applies and reflects on the topic including own opinions and comments.
Assessment criteria of final course assignment
Student presents and gives reasons for the purpose of the study. Student describes the work including methodology and theory. Student presents the interview results and reflects them to theory. Student gives conclusions with own comments and opinions. Student present references and bibliography.
