Objective
The internship is part of the SIMHE path project’s Complementary studies of business and technology for higher educated immigrants which complements the education and skills acquired abroad and supports inclusion in the Finnish working life.
SIMHE path internship can be carried out as a practical training or on-the-job-training in cooperation with working life.

SIMHE path internship can be carried out as a practical training or on-the-job-training, or in other ways in cooperation with working life.
The trainee develops his/her own skills in work tasks related to his/her own field of expertise and learns to assess them in relation to the company’s requirements.
Employer connections
The practical training agreement is made between trainee, employer, and Karelia SIMHE path practical training supervisor. The agreement contains the goals, main working tasks, extent, duration, and timing as well as who is the responsible/supervisor of internship at the working place.
