Location and time

The course is implemented online. You will do the tasks independently and return them to Moodle. You will receive comments and feedback from the teacher on the assignments and help if needed. The course includes introductory information, which you can participate in online or view it later on as a recording.

Materials

Materials are available in the Moodle. In addition, the student will search some materials for the course himself/herself.

Teaching methods

The course is intended for students studying Finnish as a second language. Language proficiency level required is B1. During the course you will get acquainted with the Finnish media (magazines, online magazines and TV- and radio programmes) and especially with the texts and programs in your own field. You will learn the structures of written language and get to know the spoken one. You will widen your vocabulary on you own field.

You will familiarise the programmes and the articles independently and will do the assignments (essays, oral presentation and exercises on structures).
