Objective

The aim is to learn timber procurement and bucking control concepts and criteria, as well as learn how to make harvester cutting instructions. Students understand wood supply management as a whole, making markings for bucking files, and the basics of simulation. They know the different levels and sources of wood supply and are able to draw up operational plans for wood procurement and understand the importance of follow-up. Students understand the wood supply logistics as a whole and the importance of the quality of the raw material to industry. Students also master the value chain thinking.
