Objective
After the course student can: - Describe the phases and functions of wood supply process, - Identify the influence of operator/driver, working conditions and machine/vehicle fleet in the wood supply process, - Understand the importance of occupational safety, cost and energy efficiency as well as quality in forest operations and logistics, - Apply the cost accounting models of wood-harvesting machinery and timber trucking fleet, and - Describe the subject areas which are currently investigated and developed in forest operations and logistics.
