Objective
The student will be able to: - Identify and describe the basic concepts and vocabulary to promote collaborative forest management and recognize interests of different stakeholders. - Explain principles of successful and fair collaborative management, and procedures which forest bioeconomy companies use to verify responsibility of their activities. - Demonstrate good skills on constructive feedback, and develop their skills based on received feedback. - Find information on creativity and quality management tools available to support collaborative and responsible forest management. - Apply information in preparing a participation plan and implement a selection of tools in a concrete project.

Examples and need of collaboration and responsibility verification in forest bioeconomy Definitions on core concepts (co-management, community forestry, social forestry) Objectives and tools of collaboration Participation plan ESG-management systems and practices Indigenous and traditional knowledge Part of the course content, implementation and evaluation will be designed collaboratively with the students

Individual learning of course materials (14 h), lectures including group discussions in lectures (16 h), Participation on campus preferred, online option available according to request. project work in groups (24 h). Evaluation: performance in project work, individual learning tasks, and peer review. Participation of the classes (80% pass/fail). Grading scale 0-5
