Objective

The student will can solve simple problmes and implement a problem solving program with programming language knows the basic parts of programming prosess knows the basic concepts of programming and basic programming structures (sequence, condition, selection) knows when to use which structure and knows how to use them with programming language can inspect programs, which others have made, can change them and test them can find, identify and fix programming errors with debugger

Content

Introduction to programming: inspection of programs, basic programming structures (sequence, condition, selection) and their use, input, output and use of fiels, variables, arrays and their use,strings, modularity and functions and debugging.

Execution methods

Degree students: Studying online and classroom teaching. Minor subject students, Open University students and lifelong learners: Studying online and examination.

Accomplishment methods

All students: exam 4h, lecture/questionnare 10.5 h, guidance 28 h, exercises 10.5 h, self/group studying 77 h. Total: 140 h (1 credit = around 27 h) Evaluation: Examination grade. If student completes at least 350 points (maximum 60 points per week, exceptions will be informed), course grade increases by one from the examination grade.
