Objective

Student - knows what is meant by ergonomics and can list its components - knows why ergonomics is worth paying attention to - understands the factors at work and in the working environment that cause physical strain - can identify factors that cause physical strain in their own work and in the work environment - knows how to make the necessary changes to reduce and prevent harmful work stress - can assess the factors influencing their own ability to work and to improve and maintain their ability to work, and make choices in their everyday life that promote their ability to work.

Content

The course focuses on factors related to physical ergonomics at work, in the work environment and working conditions. The course aims to enable students to examine the stress factors in their own work and work environment and to make changes to reduce stress. 1 Ergonomics 2. Workload 3. Maintaining work capacity

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Passed: - the student demonstrates knowledge of the subject using a wide range of source material - The student demonstrates in tasks that he/she knows what ergonomics is, why it is important to pay attention to it and can list the factors that contribute to it - the student demonstrates an understanding of the factors at work and in the working environment that cause work-related strain - the student will be able to identify the factors that cause work-related strain in his/her own work and in the working environment - the ability to make the necessary changes to reduce and prevent harmful work load - complete the online assignments and return the report on the assessment of their own work ergonomics within the deadline - the student will familiarise him/herself with the work ergonomics assessments carried out by other students and provide peer feedback on two of them Failed: - Student fails to return assignments meeting the approved criteria by the deadline
