Objective

You understand the principles of strategic management are able to implement strategy based development projects using Hoshin-planning. You are aware of essential leadership theories and you are able to apply them both in developing your own leadership skills and in practicing your role as a supervisor. You understand and are able to pay attention to the significanse of theories of organisatiol cultures, motivation, systems thinking and learning organisations in the contects of Lean improvement projets. You are familiar with the basic principles of change management, team development and learning theories and are able to use thosen in managing Lean-development projects.

Welcome to the Lean Management and Leadership course. Do you want to be a development and leadership leader? In this course you will learn the basics of strategic planning, how to lead lean development projects and the importance of organisational culture in development. You will also develop your personal leadership skills and get the keys to effectively support your team. Execution methods

The course will be delivered through distance learning on the Moodle platform. Students can enrol for the course at any time during the academic year and complete the course at a pace that suits them, regardless of time and place. The learning platform contains learning material and assignments which are completed in stages. Each task is followed by a multiple-choice exam, the successful completion of which opens the next task. A learning diary is maintained throughout the course, the instructions for which can be found on the learning platform. The learning diary is returned and assessed at the end of the course. During the course, there will be a weekly tutorial which students can attend via the Zoom webinar platform. The link to the webinar platform can be found on the Moodle learning platform. During the web tutorial, students can ask questions to the course tutors. If necessary, one-to-one tutoring using the Teams app will also be provided.

Accomplishment methods

Course assessment is based on a learning diary, which is continuously supplemented by an assignment in each study unit. The learning diary can be returned according to your progress, but no later than the end of the academic year. To be accepted, all learning tasks must be returned in accordance with the instructions.
