Objective

You will familiarize yourself with the tradition and goals of sound design, aiming for in-depth skills in auditory storytelling.
You will learn sound design through exercises and short sound design tasks.
You will learn to create sound plans and implementation plans for sound, for example, for films, animations, audio dramas, and podcasts.
You will acquire professional-level skills in recording, editing, processing, and post-production.
You will be able to use and leverage professional sound studio technology in your produced exercises (group work exercises).

Content

You will explore the characteristics of modern sound design through an understanding of its history.
You will learn to develop sound and implementation plans during pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
You will get acquainted with recording, audio technology, editing, and software, as well as the workflows required for each stage.
Primarily, you will learn sound design through a “learning by doing and hearing” approach, involving small group work, small group guidance, and interactive discussions.
