By completion of this course, the student
can use methods of early interaction
understands the significance of customer-oriented approach in supporting parenthood
can interview customers so that it promotes the psychosocial welfare of children and families
recognises families whose children are particularly susceptible to psychosocial problems
knows how to effectively counsel parents, which helps him/her support parenthood, parents' self-confidence and self-knowledge; improve the interaction between parents and children, improve children's wellbeing; and help parents take care of their own problems more effectively
can adapt effectively to the role of a helper and learns how to minimise the potentially exessive effects of his/her own suggestions and opinions
can analyse when and how a family should be directed to special guidance

recognises the resources and special needs of a breastfeeding mother and the baby
knows the benefits of and the most common problems in breastfeeding
can support a breastfeeding mother, the feeding relationship, and parenthood
can observe and assess breastfeeding, and guide the mother and the baby if necessary
knows methods of interactive counselling
knows methods of breastfeeding tutoring during pregnancy

Nutritional recommendations for pregnant women and sucklings.
