Objective

In this course, you will deepen your understanding of structural social work and learn to articulate its significance and objectives within the social sector and from the clients’ perspective. You will explore the theoretical foundations and legal framework of structural social work. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to recognise the knowledge base of structural social work and apply processes of knowledge production and evidence-informed influence in practice. You will also be able to communicate effectively and in a knowledge-based manner.

Content

Structural social work plays a central role in building an ethically sustainable society, in the prevention of social injustices, and in the development of social services that are knowledge-based and responsive to human needs.

Topics covered in this course include:
- Foundations of structural social work
- Knowledge production and the process of evidence-informed influence in structural work
- Social reporting as a process of knowledge-informed practice in structural social work
- Levels, actors, and operational fields of structural social work
- Evidence-informed influence and communication
