You are familiar with the key legislation and supervision related to pharmacotherapy.
You recognize the principles of safe medication practices in social and healthcare services.
You identify the different stages of the medication process and understand the importance of a medication care plan as part of safe pharmacotherapy.
You know the basics of planning, implementing, and evaluating safe pharmacotherapy according to the responsibilities of your professional role.
You recognize different dosage forms and methods of drug administration.
You are familiar with the basics of patient guidance in pharmacotherapy and promote medication adherence and self-care.
You can perform medication calculations without errors.

Legislation and supervision guiding pharmacotherapy in social and healthcare services
Principles of safe pharmacotherapy
Medication process and medication care plan as safeguards for medication safety
Permit practices in pharmacotherapy and the nurse’s role in implementing medication treatment
Electronic drug databases as tools for ensuring medication safety
Planning, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacotherapy
Monitoring the effects of pharmacotherapy (including basics of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, therapeutic effects, adverse reactions, and drug interactions)
Supporting treatment adherence and self-care, and guiding patients in pharmacotherapy
