Objective
The student:- understands how people process information and make observations- is able to read and interpret visual messages- masters the methods of how to convey a message visually and is able to apply those methods in his/her work- is able to produce pictures that are appropriate to the task at hand (taking pictures with a digital camera and editing them)- understands the connection between picture and text- knows the basics of typographic design- is able to work as an active member of a group and advance the realisation of common aims- is able to give constructive feedback to his/her peers concerning their learning assignments and is able to use the feedback given to him/her when developing him/herself
Content
The processes of visual communication from the point of view of the recipient and the sender. Studying visual expression through photography and graphic design. The varied techniques of digital image processing. - viewing skills, semiotic analysis of images- conveying a message visually- expression through photography- image processing- co-operative skills- special techniques (3D, panorama, HDR)
