Objective

The student understands the essential principles and instructions concerning occupational safety and is able to work safely in various production environments by following those instructions.
The student acknowledges electricity as a safety hazard and knows the actions needed on individual level to avoid accidents. The student knows the importance of electrical safety regulations in maintaining and developing safety at work.

- general industrial safety regulations and instructions for work premises
- magnitudes and basic concepts in electrotechnology
- electrical safety classifications for equipment at work premises
- transmission of electricity; extensions, power distribution units on working sites, aggregates and cables.
- basics in electric power calculation
- fuses and residual-current devices
- electrical accidents
