Objective

The aim is to understand the new ethical challenges of the digital operating environment and in the work on the social welfare and health care sector. Those working in the social welfare and health care sector follow both legislation and generally accepted ethical principles. In addition to the above-mentioned factors, the competence includes responsibility for the quality of the work and respecting the client as well as the ability to do
multidisciplinary co-operation. This means that vocational ethics and ethical competence in social services and health care work are based on both the internalisation of values and professional knowledge and competence.

After learning about ethical competence, students are experts in their multidisciplinary roles and are able to
apply the guidelines of vocational ethics in customer contacts of digital services and their
planning
• assess their own and others' ethical decision-making so that they actively seek
• different solutions in challenging situations
• recognise and anticipate situations in which ethical problems might arise in different digital systems
• and customer service situations
• analyse the special features related to the ethics of artificial intelligence and robotics
• describe ethical challenges related to remote management
