Objective

- you know the main architectural building blocks and concepts of Information Technology Infrastructure Architecture
- you know the fundamental principles and structure of computer systems, including components, responsibilities and tasks of central processing unit
- you know the basic principles of operating systems, and their current development trends
- you recognize different end user devices and their functionality
- you are able to follow the development of computing devices.

Content

- Basics of computer systems; components, responsibilities and tasks of central processing unit, computer memory and memory management, principles and functionality of operating systems; end user devices
- Basics IT infrastructure; model, networking, non-functional attributes (availability, performance, security), and architecture building blocks.

The course includes a self-learning component based on topics that extend the content covered during the course.
