You know how social and health care services are arranged in Finland, and learn some basics of the most important legislations and ethical guidelines. You will understand the importance of evidence-based information and customer centred service in the social and health care studies and in the work of a social or health care professional. You will learn more field specific English and develop using your language skills in daily and professional situations.

You will study themes as social and health care services in Finland, the most important legislation and ethical instructions, and encountering a customer/patient in the field of social and health care. In English language studies, the course focuses on developing your language skills through various tasks and learning techniques.
