Objective

You know the basics of strategic, tactical and operational planning of wood procurement and sources of wood procurement in the Finnish forest industry. You can make operative plans and you know how the wood procurement goals consist of. You know the difference between stumpage reserve and delivery reserve in wood procurement chain. You know the meaning of value chain.
You understand how significant the optimal bucking and roundwood quality is for the forest industry. You can make simple bucking instructions for use on modern cut-to-length harvesters, and you can simulate timber bucking with the programs.
