Objective
The Professional Growth course 5 ECTS is a study unit that lasts throughout the polytechnic degree and consists of four independent sub-courses. During the part-time courses, the student receives information, advice and guidance to support the planning of their studies. Students learn to evaluate the development of their knowledge and skills. The course supports the management of the student's individual development curve in learning and work, as well as the development of decision-making and career management skills. The student also learns to follow general working life practices and becomes acquainted with the rules of the game in working life.
After completing the Professional Growth 4 (1 cr) sub-course, you will be able to market your skills and apply for jobs in your field. You can use different job search channels. You can contact employers and prepare for a job interview. You can make choices related to your studies in accordance with your own career goals and make a plan to complete your studies. You will know the practices related to graduation and the alumni activities of Karelia University of Applied Sciences.
