- Basics of thermodynamics: meter scales, thermal expansion, thermal energy, volumetric thermal expansion, latent heat
- Heat transfer: conduction, convection, mechanical applications of radiation thermodynamics
- Static of fluids: pressure, hydrostatic pressure
- Hydraulics: volume flow rate and form of Bernoullis equation. Frictional flows and pressure loss and pump calculations and sizing
