The Towards Working Life course supports the student's smooth transition from studies to working life. The course helps students assess their field-specific competencies and professional identity, as well as develop plans for enhancing and maintaining their skills. Additionally, students receive support for career planning and managing the final stages of their studies, including the graduation process. The course also introduces Karelia's alumni activities and presents various further education opportunities.

The course consists of lectures and independently completed assignments, which support the student's transition to working life. During the course, students will plan their studies leading up to the graduation process.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The approved performance includes attending the classes of the course, completing the assignments according to the instructions and returning them in the given schedule, as well as the mid-stage development discussion of the studies with the teacher tutor during the fall semester.

In the planning of the studies, the focus is on the final phase of the studies and planning and going through the graduation process.
