Objective

Student
- knows the methods of creative problem solving and is able to apply them in his / her own creative work
- identifies the strengths and development needs of one's own creativity
- is able to use the means of creative problem solving in his / her professional environment and teamwork
- is able to develop his / her own expression to be more diverse by utilizing the creative processes of others.

Content

The course introduces students to the principles of creative problem solving and creative ideation methods through lectures, work samples and individual assignments and teamwork. Ideation methods are rehearsed, applied in practice and further developed. The learning assignments observe the key promotional and detrimental factors for one's own creative work and map out the latest innovations from around the world, e.g. Through TED speeches. Finally, the assignment of Exchanging Creative Works is carried out communally. In the Creative Work Exchange assignment, the student develops his or her own creative expression to be more diverse and identifies his or her own strengths in creative expression by producing works based on the ideas he or she receives from other students' works.
