Objective
After completing the course, you will be able to cope with simple customer service situations both as an employee and as a tourist/customer. You know how to communicate politely, use appropriate language according to the language culture. You can ask and explain your needs and wishes. You are able to briefly describe services and products. You can answer simple questions and ask similar questions of others. You are able to write short, simple messages: a short description of yourself, your hobbies and preferences, a description of services, a menu, a short itinerary. You understand short simple written messages on the topics of the course. You understand the core content from simple, short, clearly presented conversations.

- About yourself: hobbies, places to visit, preferences, possessions, past/present/future activities
- Giving directions with the help of a map
- Location of services, opening hours and description
- Public transport and mobility: going, visiting, leaving
- On the phone (basic phrases)
- Telling about the weather
- Shopping situations: at the ticket office and gift shops
- Expressions of time and festive culture: days of the week, months, dates, Finnish and Russian holidays
- Dining at a restaurant
- Numbers -1000
- Russian communication culture features: using ты/ вы, addressing people and use of names
