Sisällön jaksotus

The course starts with a preliminary task 25.1.2021. Choosing the team task, design and output methods are agreed within the teams. The work will be conducted in teams via internet and lecturers and experts are available online during separately assigned times. The course ends by 30.4.2021. The course has a few fixed times for participation and in addition to this, the student teams will agree on their own schedule.

Tavoitteet

After the course the student will be able to utilise multidisciplinary expert networks, creative thinking and different technologies for solving problems related to forest bioeconomy. The student will understand the complexity of forest bioeconomy and its effect on, for example, well-being, tourism, legislation, education and regional economy. The student knows the basic concepts and principles of forest bioeconomy.

During the course, multidisciplinary teams will define an actual, current forest bioeconomy related problem and design a solution (product, process, service, procedure, etc.)for it together with forest bioeconomy experts from working life. Multidisciplinary problem solving and developmental ways of working will be trained. Experts, research knowledge and different technologies are utilised for designing the solution.

The solutions will be shared on the online platform. Technology that enhances interaction and place and time independence will be utlised and supported during the course.

The course will be implemented 25.1.-30.4.2021.

Oppimateriaalit

WIll be made available in DigiCampus -platform.

Opetusmenetelmät

The course is suitable for students from any discipline and teams will be formed as multidisciplinary teams consisting of students from different universities and countries. The focus is on wellbeing in the context of forest bioeconomy. In the previous implementations, the students have been for example from teacher education, IT engineering, forestry, biology, business, law and administration and environmental sciences.

Our working life partners will present problems and cases from their operations and the student teams will design a solution (product, process, service, procedure, etc.) for it together with forest bioeconomy experts from working life. Multidisciplinary problem solving and developmental ways of working will be trained. Experts, research knowledge and different technologies are utilised for designing the solution.

The course work in teams and with our working life partners will increase your future skills, the so called 21st century skills.

The solutions will be shared on the online platform. Technology that enhances interaction and place and time independence will be utilised and supported during the course.
