Osaamistavoitteet

After completing this module, the student - acknowledges national, linguistic, political, ethnic and religious multiplicity in society - is able to pay attention to the dialogue between different worldviews - is able to conceptualize cultural understanding and cultural sensitivity - is able to pay attention to cultural sensitivity in her/his own work.

Offering data: All degree students of the University of Eastern Finland, Karelia University of Applied Sciences, and international exchange students in both institutions. The study unit has a total of 40 student places: 20 for UEF and 20 for Karelia. Campus: Joensuu, UEF. Language of tuition: English.

Suoritustavat

Modes of study: Kick-off seminar 2 h, concluding seminar 2 h, Independent studying 131 h. Student´s workload totally 135 h (5 x 27 h). Assessment criteria: The average of the assignment and essay grades determines the grade for the course (0-5).
