Objective

You will be able to evaluate your vaccination skills and understand the importance of maintaining them
You will be able to take part in the debate on preventable diseases and vaccinations.
You will understand the challenges of health promotion and vaccination in developing countries and development projects.
You will be able to look at the ethical issues surrounding vaccination and your own work as a vaccineer.
You can guide and vaccinate clients belonging to different groups.
You know how to guide and vaccinate tourists and immigrants.
You will understand the importance of vaccination coverage and the implications of large-scale vaccinations.
You understand the key issues about the safety of vaccines and vaccinations.
You know what vaccination safety is all about and you can talk about it matters relating to the safety of vaccination.
You can talk to those who are hesitant or opposed to vaccination.

Content

In the section Deepening Vaccination Competence, the key contents are development as a vaccineer, the ethics of vaccination, vaccination of special groups, the health of tourists, the effectiveness and safety of vaccinations, and clients who are hesitant about vaccinations. You will have additional skills in guidance and counseling.

The course is completed as an independent online course in Moodle.

The course includes an exam. The first exam is the actual exam and can be repeated two (2) times during the course.

Participation in the course requires a previous approved completion of the 2 ECTS course Fundamentals of Vaccination Competence.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment is done on a scale of passed - needs to be supplemented - failed

A passed performance includes successfully completing the course, returning the written assignment, and successfully taking the exam.

The teacher has the right to request that the written assignment be supplemented as needed.
