Objective
• You recognize the principles of nursing, ethical guidelines and various nursing intervention methods
• You acquire skills needed in professional interaction and encountering clients
• You know the principles of aseptic techniques and learn to work accordingly in nursing
• You recognize the importance of ergonomics and observe ergonomics in the most common transfer and lifting situations.

• Professional interaction
• Decision-making in nursing
• The principles of patient safety
• Providing a safe care environment
• Prevention and control of infections; Hand hygiene and precautions
• Ergonomic work practices and assisting patients in moving
• The use of the ISBAR reporting tool
• Patient observation
• Assisting in the activities of daily living
• The most common nursing interventions and nursing procedures
• Pain assessment and non-pharmacological methods of pain management
• ABCDE protocol and NEWS

Harjoitteluun pääsemisen kriteerit:
Aktiivinen osallistuminen hoitotaito opintojakson opetukseen. Opetukseen osallistuessa hyvä ammatillinen vuorovaikutus, käyttäytyminen ja toiminta.

· Lähihoitajatutkinnon suorittaneet voivat halutessaan hakea AHOTia harjoittelu 1 6 op -opintojaksosta.
· Lähihoitajataustainen opiskelija ilmoittaa harjoittelun Moodlessa halukkuutensa hakea. AHOTia.
· Erillistä hakemusta ei tarvitse tehdä.
· Tutkintotodistusta ei tarvitse esittää.
