Quality of life (3op)

Osaamistavoitteet

The module contains basic information on quality of life in rural areas generally and on specific factors and life conditions of rural areas in Europe. There is a variety of scientific approaches to consider and measure quality of life. It is role of economists, sociologists, psychologists, human ecologists etc. Some approaches will be presented. Problems and good examples in selected countries will be presented and theoretically analysed within lectures. Apart lectures the module will contain also practical field training. The students will be asked to respond inhabitants of selected villages situated nearby, use of prepared questionnaires.
