Objective

After completing the course, you will know the basics of chemistry. The course will give you the ability to understand the factors associated with corrosion as well as the chemical and microbiological factors that affect the indoor air of a building.

Content

The course includes:
- structure of the substance and nomenclature of chemicals
- the chemical resistance of concrete and the effect of concrete on metals
- indoor chemical and microbiological contaminants and moisture
- mole, gases
- concentration and reaction equation
- pH and carbonation of concrete
- basics of electrochemistry and reactivity of metals
- corrosion.
