You understand the impact of the energy transition on society. You know the role of renewable energy in Finland and Europe, as a part of energy production and climate change mitigation. You know national and international policy instruments used in energy production. You get familiar with different renewable energy sources and their sustainable production. You understand the factors that impact heating efficiency and energy need in housing. The goal of the course is for students to gain an understanding of the energy sector and its meaning in society, as well as command the concepts used in the energy sector.
