Objective
During the course, you will become acquainted with research and development activities and the principles that guide them. You will learn the approaches and methods of research and development and their application. During the course, you will increase your understanding of your thesis topic and you will gain a sound understanding of the approaches and methods applicable to your own thesis. At the end of the course, you will have a feasible thesis plan on the basis of which you will complete your thesis.

Thesis instructions and assessment criteria, ethical guidelines, thesis process and content, research and development approaches and methods, thesis plan and reflection on your learning.

Further information
The course includes a Thesis Start and a Topic Workshop, which are mandatory. The student can complete the course assignments after the thesis topic has been approved and the supervisor has been confirmed in Wihi. The assignments must be completed before starting to write the thesis. Instructions for starting the thesis process can be found in the Liiketalouden opinnäytetyö Moodle.
