Teaching methods
The aim is to study the specialized English vocabulary in these areas:
-Means of minimizing negative cultural, environmental and social impacts
-Concepts of sustainability and responsibility in tourism
-Carbon footprint & carbon handprint in tourism industry
-UN Sustainable development goals
-Ethical tourism
-The course also includes studying academic writing and its special features.
-The students write an academic essay related to one of the themes on the course.

-Working independently and in groups
Completion alternatives
The student who has acquired the required competence in business communication in English non- or informally can complete the course through RPL Proof of Competence. The possibility and methods of demonstrating written and spoken communication skills must be agreed with the teacher before the beginning of the study unit.
Student workload
The course contains appriximately 8 hours of scheduled sessions online. The weekly sessions are complemented with self-study assignments and some pair and group work.
