Objective
Depending on the opportunities provided by the practice placement, after this course, the student knows/can
- the use of customer-oriented dialogue and motivational interview in health care
- use the methods of early interaction in supporting parenthood
- implement breastfeeding training
- lead peer groups
- implement and assess family training sessions
- use various effective health promotion methods in a customer-oriented way
- analyse his/her professional development
- discuss difficult topics and understand the significance of early intervention in supporting the development of a child/teenager as well as parenthood and a relationship
- co-operate with other experts to promote health in children and families
- counsel and support in sexual health and family planning
- the follow-up process and related screening methods for monitoring the health of a pregnant mother and a fetus, recognising the risk factors of pregnancy and delivery
- counsel and assist customers in need of special support
- nursing during delivery and emergency delivery
- monitoring, counselling, and nursing a mother who has delivered and a neonate, directing to further treatment if necessary
- the follow-up and screening methods of the growth and development of children and teenagers
- implement physical examinations / occupational physical examinations and screening methods for the adult population
- co-operate with families and various interest groups to maintain and promote a safe growth environment for a child
- support a relationship
- independently assess and support the growth and development of a child and a teenager, and his/her family's resources
- operate in schools and study communities as an expert in health promotion nursing and health education
- analyse his/her professional development into an expert in health care
- how to independently run a reception in various operational environments, and knows home visit as a work method

- use different kinds of actions and methods, and use health technology in health care for the elderly
- implement supervised work place visits and work place surveys
- support employees' and work communities' occupational wellbeing, work ability, and wellbeing at work, and direct an employee to work ability supporting activities and rehabilitation
