Objective

You can create applications or animations containing novice-level vector and bitmap graphics. You can identify opportunities where animations containing vector graphics can be used. You can create powerful and personal animation or web application. You master the basic usage of the development tool used in the course. You can search for relevant information from different information sources independently. You can evaluate your own competence in relation to the requirement level of professional web application development or web animation.

Content

Main method of learning is self study through assigments and provided materials. Provided materials include pre-recorded videolectures that cover the studied topics. Teacher provides also tutoring and feed back through course environment. Peer feedback plays a big role in the course.

Course is a joint course between business information technology and communication. There are two different learning paths from which student can choose during the course; technical path and creative path.

Technical path is geared towards technical implementations and approaches Flash-presentations more through coding features with ActionScript. Creative path concentrates more on presentational issues and the ways through which the Flash-presentation communicates with its users.
